Following the confirmation of Gaston Sirino joining Amakhosi earlier on, Kaizer Chiefs have added another player to their squad for the upcoming season with defender Bongani Sam joining the team from Soweto neighbours, Orlando Pirates.

The Glamour Boys have secured the 26-year-old left-back/winger on a three-year contract, with a one-year option. The player spent the last season on loan with Moroka Swallows, before going back to his former team at the end of the loan deal.

The Qqeberha-born player is currently injured and expected to join his teammates on the training grounds soon.

“We are really excited to have Bongani Sam in our fold,” says Amakhosi Sporting Director, Kaizer Motaung Jr. “Given his age, which is 26, he has amassed quite a bit of experience having played for several teams in the Premiership since he started his top-flight career seven years ago. We do wish him well and we know he will fit in as part of the Kaizer Chiefs Family.”
