Kaizer Chiefs hosted a delegation from Zambian top flight club, Zesco United at the Kaizer Chiefs village on Friday morning. The group, comprised of Muntanga Sibalwa (Board Member and head of delegation), Milton Syulikwa (Board Member), Honour Janza (Technical Director), Chipasha Bwalya (Finance Manager) and Brian Mupeyama (Head of Administration), toured around Amakhosi headquarters and engaged in discussions with various members of the Club’s staff.
Chiefs Sporting Director, Kaizer Motaung Jr. was delighted to host the visiting delegation, telling www.kaizerchiefs.com, “For us, it is important to build strategic partnerships with teams on the continent, so it was good for us to interact with and exchange ideas with Mr. Sibalwa and his delegation.”
Honour Janza, the Technical Director of Zeco United, was equally pleased with the warm welcome they received at Naturena, saying, “We are grateful to Chiefs for hosting us. We are very impressed with their facilities and are hoping to continue working with them in the future on various projects.”
The Zesco delegation was accompanied by Chiefs’ former Zambia international striker, Colins Mbesuma, who won two league titles with Amakhosi in 2003/04 and 2004/05.
Kaizer Chiefs and Zesco United have both qualified for the 2025/26 CAF Confederation Cup and could possibly face each other in continental competition in the upcoming season.
