They came from all walks of life, from the surrounding areas of Tshwane, all in the name of witnessing their two favourite brands, Kaizer Chiefs and Vodacom at the Roadshow held at Central City Shopping Centre, in Mabopane.
The flags of the two brands, red and white of Vodacom and the gold and black of the Soweto Giants, the Amakhosi, were hoisted high in and around Mabopane Station.
Zama Ngcobo of Soshanguve Supporters Club Branch was in the area and was upfront to declare her allegiance with the two most sought after brands:
"Winning prizes and having exclusive access to Chiefs' information and news is what I admire the most (she said that just after receiving her free KC Mobile Stater Pack)," said Ngcobo.
The Klipgat Supporters Branch Executive came in full force, represented by Annah Mokotong, Cheerboy Mokotong, Patrick Sithole, Andrew Molepo, Moses Ngobeni, "We would like to thank the Club and Vodacom for bringing this excitement to the supporters and we as supporters appreciate the efforts by our Marketing Department. We are on duty as you can see, the people are applying and renewing their Membership Cards. We are pulling the supporters to attend the humdinger at Loftus Versfeld tomorrow night against Mamelodi Sundowns. We are also here to promote the anti-booing and the 'stop-fong-kong' message. We want people to buy the authentic Chiefs merchandise not fong-kongs," said the Klipgat branch leadership.
Mabopane Branch was in the area as well with their Member of the Executive Mojanko Mohlake at full voice, "This is Chiefs, we love this team for the way they do things and love their supporters. The activities here are a testimony of a trend setting Love and Peace, Amakhosi 4 Life!"
Tebogo Nakedi a Chiefs supporter since the age of 10 was happy as he was able to receive his KC Mobile Starter Pack,"The entertainment and the excitement that Chiefs brings wherever they go is remarkable. It makes me proud to associate with this team. People are winning prizes and playing games, wow! this is top drawer stuff," said Nakedi accompanied by his 5yr old Kgosi, a real future Khosi 4 Life!
The next stop for the Amakhosi will be the big clash on Thursday night against Mamelodi Sundowns at Loftus Versfeld Stadium. Kickoff is at 19:30 and tickets are available at Computicket and Checkers/Shoprite nationwide at a cost
