Defending champions Kaizer Chiefs will kick-off their 2015/16 Absa Premiership with an away trip to Chippa United, who just managed to survive relegation last season. The match, however, has been moved to Sunday, 9 August (from the original planned Saturday, 8 August).
Amakhosi beat Chippa 2-0 in last season’s last Absa Premiership fixture. The champions got handed over the league trophy after the clash.
Chiefs’ opening game of the 2015/2016 league season will be a return to the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium (kick-off at 15:00).
Amakhosi’s first Absa Premiership home game is at the FNB Stadium on Saturday, 22 August (kick-off at 20:15).
The only other league match in August will be on the road against Polokwane City (25 August, Peter Mokaba Stadium, kick-off at 19:30).
Chiefs will wrap up the Absa Premiership season at home against Chippa United on 21 May 2016.
The Amakhosi squad is a present in Swaziland, ahead of tomorrow’s King’s Super Cup.
