Kaizer Chiefs head coach, Nasreddine Nabi has been emphasising the importance of capitalising on the good performance and result last Wednesday when they defeated Stellenbosch FC, by repeating the feat against Lamontville Golden Arrows at Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban on Sunday. The Coach spoke exclusively to www.kaizerchiefs.com ahead of the match:
On the state of the squad:
Since our last match on Wednesday, we have picked up a few injuries. Ashley Du Preez is out after having to come off against Stellenbosch and, according to estimates from our medical staff, could be back within four weeks. In addition, Rushwin Dortley picked up a knock in the same game, and we don’t want to take any unnecessary risks, so he will sit out today’s match.
On the opposition, Lamontville Golden Arrows:
Arrows are a good side, tough to play against. They have pace and skill and can hurt you with quick transition. They move the ball forward quickly and are very committed. They play with heart and passion, so we have prepared to match, and even better whatever they bring. We want to build momentum from our last result and performance to keep winning while improving all the time.
On the support in Durban:
We feel very comfortable in our home-from-home in Durban because we always get a lot of our fans coming to support us and, because we are playing an opponent from the same area, we expect a great atmosphere and we are determined to give our fans the result they desire.
The Betway Premiership fixture kicks off at !5:30 on Sunday afternoon at Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban.
