Zdravo!

Telkom Knockout: Chiefs vs. Santos

We traveled to Limpopo on Friday with only one thing on our minds, a win against Santos to see us proceed to the final of the Telkom Knockout. Santos proved once again to be a tricky opposition. They were organized at the back and made our life difficult out there.

It was also good that all the players who represented their countries on Wednesday reported on Friday without any injuries.

At the end we managed to get a solitary goal. I would like to take this opportunity and congratulate my players for a job well done. Once again our fans came in numbers to support the team and the atmosphere at Peter Mokaba was electrifying. Thank you to all the supporters who traveled from every corner of the country to cheer the team on.

Absa Premiership: Chiefs vs. Vasco Da Gama

This week we come against a tricky opposition, Vasco Da Gama. I have refused to speak about the final because we have a big assignment on our hands. I have not seen a lot of Vasco this season only watched them on DVD’s organized by our Analyst.

We are playing at home and for us it is important that we continue where we left off against Santos last weekend. This game has been moved to FNB Stadium. This is not a problem for us as our fans will walk from Soweto to the stadium.

Preparations for the game have gone well and I was happy to see Zhiamo Jambo returning to training this week. Kaizer Motaung JR is still struggling with an ankle injury and will sit this one out as well.

Kick off for the game on Saturday, 27 November 2010 is a 20:15.

Abia Nale & Mthokozisi Yende

One of our fans, Modise in Jozi wrote to me last week about what do I think about Abia Nale and Mthokozisi Yende playing for Bafana Bafana. There is no doubt that both players are talented and they have proved once and again that they can be key for the Club.

I think if there is one aspect of their game that they need to work on is consistency. I am sure if they can address that part they will get considered in the national team depending whether the national team Coach feels that they fit on his plans.

Champions League

The biggest game last night was of course the 5 goals thriller between Roma and Bayern Munich. Real Madrid still looks very strong and that was demonstrated by the fact that they scored 4 goals away in Amsterdam. I was not really surprised by other results.

Arsenal will need to beat my former team, Partizan Belgrade in order to qualify for the next round. It will be very interesting to see what happens in the last round of matches.

Dovidenja!
