Preview: Platinum Stars vs. Kaizer Chiefs
The team was given Sunday off last weekend following the postponement of our fixture against Moroka Swallows. We were again back on Monday in preparation for a daunting task against Platinum Stars.
Stars are never an easy side to play with and it will not be different come Sunday. They lost their past two games but we know that their past results will not mean anything on Sunday.
Preparations for us have gone well for the game despite missing a couple of players due to national duty. It is important for us to keep on winning our games to put pressure on the log leaders, Orlando Pirates, Mamelodi Sundowns and Ajax Cape Town. The spirit in the camp is high and everyone is looking forward to the upcoming game.
Injury Update
Kaizer Motaung JR returned to full training last week and should be available for selection this weekend. K was in good form when he got injured and we hope that the lay off will not have an effect on him. Knowledge Musona started light training on Monday. A decision will be made on Saturday on whether to take him to Rustenburg on Sunday or not.
FIFA Week
Itumeleng Khune, Siphiwe Tshabalala and Reneilwe Letsholonyane have all been called up in the Bafana Bafana squad to face Kenya on Wednesday night. I would like to wish all of them the best.
There are also interesting fixtures as far as national teams are concerned today with Argentina playing against Portugal. The game will see Christiano Ronaldo coming face to face for the first time with Lionel Messi in international football. There is also France vs. Brazil and Germany against Italy.
Dovidenja!
