“Please come and join us at our home game in Cape Town against Wits,” stresses Reneilwe ‘Yeye’ Letsholonyane about Amakhosi’s home game away from home against Absa Premiership log leaders Bidvest Wits at the Cape Town Stadium on Saturday, 19 December (kick-off at 18:00).
The Chiefs midfielder scored in the 1-1 draw against Maritzburg United a week ago. It was Letsholonyane’s first goal in an official match since he scored more than a year ago on 22 October 2014 in the one-all draw against Moroka Swallows.
“It felt good to score again,” the 33-year-old midfielder reflects, “also to help the team gain a point on the road.”
Letsholonyane feels excited about Amakhosi playing three home games in the Cape, the first being against the Clever Boys: “Our supporters in the Cape have to travel far to visit our home games. This time, however, we come to their backyard to thank them for their loyal support over the years. We are looking forward to play at the Cape Town Stadium.”
In the days before that Bidvest Wits clash, Chiefs will organise various activations with players involved. It will become a Cape of Love & Peace.
