Kaizer Chiefs coach Ernst Middendorp

I thought that we played well and we deserved to win today, don’t take anything away from Pirates they made us fight all the way for this victory.

We can’t start talking about the impact this victory will have on the championship because there are still many months to go in the championship but the title race is now wide open.

The players did their part the and the supporters played theirs this is a wonderful victory but we need to show the same fighting spirit in every game we play like we did today.

The week that has passed was a tough one, every one wrote us off before kick off and I think that inspired us and brought out the best in us.

I am happy for Jimmy Tau because he came through a rough couple of days and deserved to have the game he did.

The supporters really lifted us and with out them this victory would not have been possible.

Kosta Papic Orlando Pirates Coach

Chiefs did not win the game as much as we lost it, we did not play according to our usual high standards and we gifted them the game.

We had our chances and we did not finish them off so we were punished for that, we have lost two games in a row which is not good we need to look forward to Bloemfontein Celtic in the Coca Cola Cup next week and forget about this game.

Thabang Molefe Orlando Pirates Player

This result is totally unexpected we or at least I did not expect Chiefs to play the way they did we were confident of a good result in this game, unfortunately things did not fall into place for us today.

I think Chiefs can thank their supporters because they played a big part in this game and for me Jimmy Tau’s performance was a match winning one. He is my man of the match and deserves all the congratulations he gets.
