The Chairman Kaizer Motaung has, on behalf of the Kaizer Chiefs family expressed deepest heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of the late Joseph “Carlton” Moloi (79).
A saddened Motaung expresses sadness, “We were saddened by the sad news of the untimely death of the founder of Moroka Swallows, Joseph Moloi (79), affectionately known as ‘Carlton’. We know the pain you and your family are going through right now. As you attempt every day to come to terms with the loss we think of you with dearest sympathy and support.”
“‘Carlton’ was a founder of Moroka Swallows, Joseph ‘Carlton’ Moloi (79), his passing on will leave a void in the family and football fraternity, but we will be comforted by the glory memories shared with him and the rest of the football world.”
“Please receive our heartfelt condolences from the Kaizer Chiefs family and be assured that your loss is ours too. We stand by you during this time of grief and pain. Please find solace and comfort in the words of King David, psalm 23 v 1, “The Lord is My Shepherd I shall not want”.”
May ‘Carlton’s soul rest in peace in the company of angels like him, and may God be with you and strengthen you forevermore.
The once most feared centre forward during his playing days, ‘Carlton’, will be buried on Sunday 26 October 2014. The funeral service will be held at the Mofolo Hall in Soweto. The service will start at 8am and the procession will leave at 11am for Roodepoort Cemetrey.
