Kaizer Chiefs would like to congratulate Mr. Stanley Mathews who on Thursday, 08 December 2011 was announced as the Chief Executive Officer of the Premier Soccer League effective from 01 February 2012.

Stan Mathews currently the Director of Football at SuperSport United has been a member of PSL’s Executive for the past five years.

Executive Chairman, Kaizer Motaung told kaizerchiefs.com on Friday; “Stan Mathews has proved in a short space of time that he is one of the best football administrators around. One will have to look at how he has turned SuperSport United around. He was also in the forefront in drafting the League’s Compliance Manual that has effectively put the league as one of the best administered leagues in the world.

“Mr. Mathews joins a good team and I have no doubt that he will turn the league around. The Premier Soccer League has grown in the past five years but there is still a long way to go. He is a shrewd business man who pays attention to detail and clued up on the modern trends of football. He is the person to take the league into greater heights,” added Motaung.
