Kaizer Chiefs second in charge, Donald “Ace” Khuse has said that the Club is aware who they are up against when they welcome Jomo Cosmos in the Absa Premiership opener at FNB Stadium on Saturday, 13 August 2011.

The two sides last met in 2009/2010 season and Chiefs had no problem in completing double in the league over their neighbors.

“The philosophy of the team has not changed. They are still coached by the same Coach so they are not a closed book to us,” said Ace Khuse speaking tokaizerchiefs.com during the draw of the MTN 8 where the Glamour Boys have been drawn against Ajax Cape Town.

“The match against Ajax Cape Town will be interesting. It will be very important for us to score as many goals as we can at home but for us, it is a case of Cosmos first and then we can start thinking about MTN 8,” said Khuse who has memories of coming up against Cosmos during his time as a player.

Khuse who was also affectionately known as ‘Didi ‘during his playing days was at his best both in 1991 Top 8 and 1992 Bob Save final as Chiefs sent Cosmos packing at FNB Stadium.

“Cosmos has always been a tough side to play against - even then they were tough to beat. We are however focusing on our game.

Preparations are going quite well despite missing quite a number of players.

We are satisfied with the progress that is being made by the likes of Lehlohonolo Majoro, Bernard Parker and others. We should be ready come Saturday,” concluded Khuse.

Kick off for the game is at 20:15.
