The U17 side sent their opponents, Isibizo packing with a 2-0 drubbing. Rightback Nkululeko Ntshangase was at his best as he grabbed a brace in that game.
The U20s were also in an uncompromising mood as they beat Isibizo by 4-2. Striker, Lucky Khune who has recovered from an ankle injury he suffered back in March this year grabbed a brace, while midfielder Lucky Baloyi scored from the penalty spot and Sandile Mtshali grabbed the other goal to complete what was a successful afternoon for the young Amakhosi.
Technical Manager at Chiefs Development, Lucky Stalianou told kaizerchiefs.com that they are satisfied with the progress of the development teams thus far, “The U17 have played eight games, won six games and drawn two. They are currently lying on 5th position in the log with three games on hand due to the International Tournament we were involved in back in March.
If they win against Bidvest Wits University this weekend they could find themselves on top of the league,” said the Chiefs legend.
“The U20s on the other side have played nine games, won five, drawn three games and lost one. We beat Isibizo last weekend that are on top of the table currently and with three games on hand in two weeks time we might be on top of the log. Overall both teams have done brilliantly,” added the former Kaizer Chiefs anchorman.
