“We are all proud of the boys, the way in which they have responded to the kind of coaching that has been offered to them. On Saturday once again they showed that they could play against tough opponents.
Inter Africa was very physical and never allowed us to play our normal game. At the end we came victorious,” said Lucky.
Midfielder, Abraham Jacobs, Shakes Seanego and red-hot striker, Andile “Eto” Nqabeni got their names on the score sheet as the U-17 registered a convincing 3-1 victory.
“It was a game of missed opportunities and it should have been more - particularly in the second half - we were all over our opponents. We changed the system a little bit for the U-17 and encouraged the boys to play forward a little and it worked,” highlighted Lucky.
Meanwhile, Lucky “Kaka” Khune continued with his excellent form in front of goals grabbing another brace in a 2-0 victory. The latter was also at his best as he inspired Chiefs to a 2-1 against Moroka Swallows yesterday (Tuesday), June 16.
