Kaizer Chiefs Development teams were in full action during the past weekend. The Amakhosi U17s were in action on Saturday, 12 October 2013. Coach Arthur Zwane’s charges continued in their demolishing ways when they brushed aside Sporting FC by 8-0. The goals in this SAFA Soweto Regional League came from Brendan Konki (2), Mpho Khumalo (2), Sizwe Nkabinde (1), Mcoy Sithole(2) and the other goal was scored from an own goal. The current log leaders gave Sporting a hiding at the Nike Centre, Soweto.

On Sunday, 13 October 2013, the U19s lost 3-2 to MD Spartans. The Castle League fixture was played at Eldorado Park Stadium. Coach Ntsie Maphike’s lads were playing without Philani Cele, Chris Matombo, Pule Ekstein and Surprise Khopotse. The quartet were missing in action as they formed part of the First Team that participated in the Macufe Cup in Bloemfontein. Mxolisi Sibanyoni and Nkululeko Tshangane scored for the U19s.
