The U20s under the guidance were held to a 2-all draw last weekend by Highlands Park. They are currently lying on 2nd position tied with Platinum Stars who are on top of the table with 46 points. Kaizer Chiefs have an advantage though with a game on hand having played 19 games. U20 Development coach, Donald “Ace” Khuse will be hoping that his galaxy of starlets that include, Lucky Khune, Mzuvele Skhosana, etc will be on top form on Friday afternoon.
Meanwhile former Kaizer Chiefs captain and currently development coach, Ryder Mofokeng has revealed to kaizerchiefs.com that they have recalled the U17s after suspending their participation in the league to allow them to focus on exams. They will participate in a tournament known as Under 17 Future Champions.
“We have recalled our boys who play for our U17 side to participate in a tournament sponsored by the Department of Sport Art, Culture and Recreation in Gauteng. The tournament will kick off on Saturday with our boys taking on TUKS at 14:00.
This tournament includes some of the top sides, Jomo Cosmos, Bidvest Wits, Orlando Pirates, Moroka Swallows, etc. The last four teams will participate in the Provincial Tournament on the 22/23 November 2008”.
