The 2018 Gauteng Development League kicks off this weekend. Kaizer Chiefs’ development sides will be in action at Johannesburg’s Sturrock Park on Saturday, 10 March.
Amakhosi’s Under-13, Under-15, Under-17 and Under-19 teams will all be in action on Saturday. The opponents will be their counterparts of Bidvest Wits.
The coaches will be Arthur Zwane (U-13s), Ace Khuse (U-15s), Thabo Tsutsulupa (U-17s) and Sundra Govinder (U-19s).
The U-13s will play for 25 minutes each half, the U-15s for 35 minutes and the U-17s and U-19s will both do 45 minutes.
The SAFA Gauteng Development League will have 19 sides. Other clubs participating include Mamelodi Sundowns, SuperSport United, Orlando Pirates, Jomo Cosmos and the School of Excellence.
The league is expected to run until 27 October 2018.
