Dinkelacker returns to Chiefs

Rainer Dinkelacker has agreed to return to Kaizer Chiefs to coach the goalkeepers. The German first arrived at Naturena in 1999 with Muhsin Ertugral.

For example, under his guidance, Itumeleng Khune became the goalkeeper he is today. He also worked with Amakhosi goalkeepers like Brian Baloyi, Rowen Fernandez and Arthur Bartman.

Dinkelacker left the Amakhosi after the 2012/2013 season. He was replaced by Dennis Rudel, who recently returned to Germany due to family reasons.

Immediately upon hearing the news about Rudel’s departure, Kaizer Chiefs’ Football Manager Bobby Motaung decided to contact Dinkelacker, who’s remembered fondly at the Village for his goalkeeping coaching qualities.

“It's a pleasure to come back and coach (my) the goalies,” reacts Dinkelacker from Germany. “When Bobby asked me to come back, there was no doubt in my mind to accept it. I am still part of the family. I am looking forward to be there soon.”

At the moment Dinkelacker is busy sorting out his work permit, which needs to be sorted before being able to fly to South Africa and (re)join the Amakhosi.
