The Bafana squad for the Cosafa Cup match was announced immediately after the 2-0 victory against the Flames of Malawi in Durban.
Bafana coach Carlos Queiroz made five changes to the squad for the Cosafa match with Chiefs goalkeeper Brian Baloyi, Jomo Cosmos defender Andrew Rabutla, Lingby striker Bradley August, Danish player of the year Sibusiso Zuma and Benedict McCarthy of Celta Vigo will not be traveling to Malawi.
There will be no replacement for Baloyi as the coach has opted to take only two goalkeepers and three strikers to Malawi. Patrick Mayo of SuperSport United will fill the place left by McCarthy and August.
Rabutla makes way for Orlando Pirates defender Papi Khomane and Chiefs midfielder Marco Mthembu comes in place of Zuma. Manning Rangers midfielder Sipho Ndzuzo is set to earn his second cap, as he was also included in the squad.
Khumalo, who earned his magical 50th cap against Malawi in a World Cup qualifier on Saturday, became the eighth South African player to reach the half-century mark but Helman Mkhalele is still the most capped Bafana player after representing his country 67 times with seven goals to his credit.
Khumalo has scored nine times and received two red cards in his national career.
Charlton Athletic striker and Bafana vice-captain Shaun Bartlett, with 55 caps, is still the leading goalscorer with 21 goals.
