The stage is set for the Soweto Derby Nedbank Cup final between Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates at Moses Mabhida Stadium. In the lead-up to this crucial match, the safety and well-being of all fans is the top priority.

The final of the Nedbank Cup final will be the last domestic cup competition encounter for the 2024/25 season and will draw thousands of fans across the country.

Kaizer Chiefs would like to emphasize the importance of a peaceful and enjoyable stadium experience for all fans. Unfortunately, there have been threats of disruptions by disappointed supporters who were unable to secure match-day tickets. The Club strongly condemns any form of intimidation or incitement to violence, which is a criminal offense.

KwaZulu-Natal law enforcement teams are well-prepared to implement their safety plan for the weekend game. The authorities have issued a stern warning to all attendees. No weapons will be tolerated at the stadium.

To ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for all fans, we encourage ticket holders to arrive early at the stadium. For those attending the match, we recommend using the Park and Ride facilities. Please note that pick-up points will be at Park and Ride and drop offs at Centrum Parking.
People Park West will have 10 buses available.

For hospitality ticket holders, exclusive Park and Ride shuttle services will be made available, departing from Centrum Parking, adjacent the Durban ICC. They will operate from 12:30 to 16:00 transporting ticket holders to the stadium. The return shuttles will operate from 17:30 to 20:00.

Paid public parking areas will be accessible to the general ticket holders at Umngeni Badminton Parking, Suncoast, Mustering Fields/People’s Park East, Old Drive-in-Site and Kings Park Stadium.

Those without tickets can still join in on the fun at various fan parks. The fan parks at Albert Park and Beach Front will be open for those who couldn't get tickets, offering an entertaining and festive atmosphere.

Please be aware of the following road closures:

Northbound from Somtseu Road, NMR, North Bound, Goble Road will not be accessible. NMR and Isaiah Ntshangase Road will be closed on both sides.

We look forward to a good match-day experience. Let's work together to ensure a peaceful and enjoyable vibe for all fans. Let's keep the beautiful game beautiful!
