The Turkish born mentor was addressing the media at Elangeni Hotel in Durban on Monday afternoon.
“We went back to Johannesburg for the boys to go home and be with their families. It sometimes drains them when they spend a lot of time in the camp.
They came in this morning fresh and looking confident ahead of the game” he said responding on why the team opted to leave on Sunday after the final was postponed on Saturday due to weather conditions.
“Sundowns are the best assembled squad in the league if not in Africa. They have good players in all the departments who like to pass the ball around a lot. They also use their wings,” he said confidently.
