Moroka Swallows Vs Kaizer Chiefs

Olympia Park Stadium, Rustenburg

6th April, 2008

ABSA Premiership

Kick Off: 15h00

Playing Conditions:
Moderate North Westerly Winds, temperature at kick off 24° C

Shaun Bartlett and Derrick Spencer are amongst the changes as Chiefs travel to Rustenburg to take on Moroka Swallows, in what is The Amakhosi’s penultimate Soweto derby of the current season. Bartlett misses the game through an injury while Spencer is suspended for the game as he collected his third yellow card of the season, last Sunday during Chiefs Nedbank Cup encounter with Mamelodi Sundowns. Kaizer Motaung Junior creeps up into the starting eleven for the injured Bartlett; Motaung makes his eleventh start in league matches for the current campaign and his 19th in total. He will partner Mabhudi Khenyeza up front who goes into this match in search of his fifth goal in consecutive matches.

Climbing up

The Amakhosi will be looking to win three league games on the trot for the first time this season, when they face Swallows and a win on Sunday will see them move to eight place above Swallows on virtue of having a better goal difference than the birds. Ertugral has brought in Michael Nkambule to the bench as well as Sandile Zuke; they take the places of Ditheko Mototo and Derrick Spencer. While Tshepo Bulu moves into the 18 as Kaizer Motaung Junior stepped up into the starting eleven, Bulu has been brought in to beef up the attack if necessary.
