Muhsin Ertugral shrugged off the challenge from other contenders that included, Themba Sithole and Steve Komphela (Free State Stars), Rudi Krol (Orlando Pirates), and Julio Leal (Moroka Swallows).
This followed Kaizer Chiefs sensational run during the month of January that saw the Glamour Boys winning three games in a row and securing a draw away to Ajax Cape Town.
In accepting the award Muhsin Ertugral paid tribute to his colleagues for the support.
“You are nothing without the people you are working with,” he said.
“I want to take this opportunity and pay tribute to the rest of the Technical Team and the players for the job well done. I take the credit as a coach but in all honesty this award belongs to all of us,”
Ertugral said the award will serve as a motivation for himself and a team to continue doing well, “I see it as a challenge for us to continue with the work we are doing. We did very well in January after a slump in December.
We have to bounce back this coming weekend following our loss against Moroka Swallows. In every negative there is something positive, we never gave up when Swallows led by 2-0. The boys fought until the end of the final whistle,” he added
