Ertugral on the loss against Swallows

Kaizer Chiefs coach, Muhsin Ertugral has challenged his players to show more ‘aggression’ ahead of what promises to be thrill-a-minute clash against Bloemfontein Celtic this coming weekend. The two sides meet at Super Stadium. Kick off for the eagerly awaited game is at 20h15.

The relegation threatened Celtic eased their relegation woes this week with a 2-1 victory over Ajax Cape Town.

The Turk was speaking to kaizerchiefs.com following a disappointing 2-1 loss against Soweto rivals, Moroka Swallows on Saturday night.

“Like we have done this season we played well but could not finish the chances we have created. If we are to be counted at the end of the season then we need to be more aggressive in front of goals. We need to start playing like a side capable of winning the championship this season,” pointed out Ertugral.

“We spend most of our training sessions working on organisation at the back. The goals that Swallows scored were both as a result of poor organisation. In saying that I believe that we were all over Swallows in this game and deserved something out of it,”

The Glamour Boys staged a late comeback with in-form, Kaizer Motaung Jr pulling one goal back in the 90th minute and veteran winger, Arthur Zwane’s shot coming off the post immediately after that but Muhsin believes that the game against Swallows is now water under the bridge.

“We will turn our focus this week to Bloemfontein Celtic. They look like a different team than they were the last time we met them in Bloemfontein. Every game we play is important, people are telling me about other league contenders dropping points but I feel that no one should do us any favours in this league. We have to go all out and win games for ourselves,” he concluded.
