"From when she was very young she used to attend matches that I was involved in as a coach and I never ever lost a game with her in the stands,” explained the Chiefs assistant coach who was over joyed with Saturday’s victory that he bought his daughter a special pair of Shoes that she had been after for a long time.
"She asked him for a certain Shoe and I told her if we win she will get it - so we won and I had to buy her the shoe she wanted. That’s why we are fathers -we need to spoil our children some times," added Eullberg.
The assistant coach did not expect Gianna to come to South Africa for the game as he had only expected his wife and younger daughter to come but they were scheduled to leave before the derby.
"When I saw Gianna arrive I was surprised. At the same time when I heard she would be here for the Pirates game I knew we would win because my lucky charm had arrived," explained Eullberg. Gianna flew back to Germany on Tuesday evening and will return in April to South Africa to see Chiefs retain their PSL crown.
