Every game is a final for us – Torrealba

Jose Torrealba has termed the game against Bloemfontein Celtic on Saturday as a ‘final’, as Glamour Boys aim to continue with the impressive start in the 2010/2011 season.

Kick-off for the game to be played at Rand Stadium is 8:15pm.

“Every game for us this season will be like a final,” said Torrealba, affectionately known in football circles as ‘EL Budha’.

“The atmosphere is always electrifying when we play against Bloemfontein Celtic. The stadium will surely be packed as both teams have a very good following,” said Torrealba.

“The guys, as they have always been, are determined to do well for the team. There have also not been too many changes in the squad, which is good for us,”

Torrealba has been used differently by Head Coach Vladimir Vermezovic, and speaking to kaizerchiefs.com, the Venezuelan is happy to be used anywhere in the team.

“I like getting involved with build-ups as compared to playing with your back behind poles. The Coach used me on the same role towards the end of last season and during pre-season games. The competition for places in the team will be tough though and I am willing to fight.

“When a team has a big squad as we have at Chiefs, everyone needs to be ready to do the business when called to do so. This means players starting on the bench should be more ready to replace anyone in the team,” said EL Budha.
