The South African football off-season presents an opportunity for introspection and evaluation of the season gone by. This not only encompasses the playing personnel and coaches but all facets of the club. This is what will be unpacked in this month’s episode of KCTV.
Chairman Kaizer Motaung features more prominently than usual in this month’s episode of KCTV as he takes the time to engage with supporters of all kinds - one of whom being a nonagenarian lifelong supporter of the Glamour Boys.
A new supporter also gets inducted into the club as a supporter. This individual is none other than famed hip-hop culture icon Sway Calloway, who has a lot to say upon his arrival at the Kaizer Chiefs Village.
The lack of first team football action at this time of the year does not mean there is a holiday for all at the club to enjoy. Kaizer Chiefs was a welcome guest at the inaugural Pink Codrs meet-up where young women got to learn about Data Science and the Fourth Industrial Revolution. Through initiatives such as these, women get empowered to succeed in a fast-paced digital world.
The Kaizer Chiefs Youth Development Academy is primed to becoming the most reputable academy in South Africa. After several shift and changes, the Youth Development Academy had stumbled on an impressive formula that will see it eclipse all football academies in the country in the near future.
We get to see the impact that the Youth Development Academy has had on young footballers and their parents when the Kaizer Chiefs Under-15 side take on the Gauteng provincial team in a friendly at the Kaizer Chiefs Village.
