The two time Gold Exhibitor award winners at the Rand Easter Show Kaizer Chiefs are

creating sensation again at this year’s show with visitors thrilled by the

club’s beautiful stand and activities there.

Having started on Friday, 18th March 2005 when the show was officially opened to the

public, the Amakhosi stand has been a revelation to all market segments, according to club

PRO Putco Mafani: “Black, White, Indian, Coloured and just all people of our

country’s diverse representation are here on a daily basis and are overwhelmed by our

efforts to take the Kaizer Chiefs brand to another level.

"Parents and their little ones, the youth in particular, and schools on tour are

buying Chiefs merchandise like hot cakes, while other annual visitors are busy renewing

their supporters’ club membership cards. Most of all it is the passion people have

about the club, that’s incredible! We are having fun!” said Mafani.

Mafani said response towards levels of awareness about the recently launched pre-paid

airtime ZOK products has been encouraging, “we are particularly impressed by the fact

that people come to our stand and enquire about everything on offer, including ZOK and

that means we are doing something right”.

On visiting the Chiefs stand one gets a feeling that everyone and everything is catered

for, with options to buy anything from the club’s merchandise, plus, the supporters

club will offer one an option from the yellow card which is R30 a year, the silver card

which is R80 a year with lots of amazing benefits and prizes.

The big trump card being the R300 supporters’ club Gold Card which is like a

season ticket of some sort, allowing the holder automatic access to all the club’s

home league games in a given season.

Some of Amakhosi sponsors and partners have taken advantage of the situation and are

there to bring the essence of their sponsorship to the level of the club’s fans,

specifically giving them access to certain products like the “Chiefs Credit

Card” from Standard Bank, easily accessed by South Africans over the age of 21,

earning a minimum R2000 a month and then there is the Kaizer Chiefs Financial Services

offering the club’s Funeral Plan, Personal Accident Plan and Education Plan, all

underwritten by Hollard.

It is the energy, the glamour and lots of dance acts from the crowds themselves and

co-hosts Putco and Twasa of the Jam Alley fame that are a thrill at the stand.

These promotional-shows start at 1:30pm everyday and continue until just

after 3pm with crowds asking for more. Chiefs’ players add another dimension to the

daily hype and razzmatazz on stage with crowds posing for pictures and queuing for

autographs.

Entertainment includes dance competitions, easy “Test your Knowledge”

questions about the club and its players, ball control competitions, soccer tables, soccer

commentators’ competitions and lots of interactive acts.

Organizers have been smart in putting strategic broadcast partners Kaya-FM in the same

venue with Chiefs, Black Leopards and Soccer Life. The amount of awareness and exposure

these brands enjoy through the Kaya-FM Sports Indaba is immeasurable.

People pay R40 at the gates to access the Rand Easter Show.
