Chiefs’ injury woes continued this week when reliable defender, Siboniso Gaxa was ruled out for four to six weeks following an overzealous tackle from Bidvest Wits defender, James Mayinga on Sunday during the Absa Premiership clash held at Mbombela Stadium.

Chiefs already have couple of players on injury list; Morgan Gould, Tsepo Masilela, Siyabonga Nkosi, and Sakhile Hlongwa and Gaxa will be a blow to the Glamour Boys ahead of the clash against Chippa United.

Team Physio Dave Milner commented speaking to kaizerchiefs.com on Wednesday morning; “Gaxa injured the ligament on the inside of his ankle when he was tackled during the Wits match. He was immediately substituted.

“On Tuesday he underwent a sonar scan under the eye of Dr Patricios. The scan showed he will be out for four to six weeks and is currently in a boot,” added Milner.
