Kaizer Chiefs would like to confirm the signing of Bafana Bafana international, Siboniso Gaxa from Belgium based side, Lierse SK.
The highly rated 28-year-old defender has agreed to a three year contract and with an option to renew for one year with the Soweto giants, becoming Chiefs first signing in preparation for next season.
Siboniso Gaxa can play anywhere in the back four and can also be used in the central midfield. He is a hard working player and would be delighted to reunite with newly appointed Coach, Stuart Baxter who gave the KwaZulu Natal born his debut in the national team in 2005.
In South Africa Siboniso Gaxa has played for SuperSport United and Mamelodi Sundowns before landing a European contract with Lierse SK in Belgium where he made 43 appearances in two seasons.
He is also a key member of Bafana Bafana having featured in both the Confederations Cup in 2009 and the FIFA World Cup in 2010.
