Kaizer Chiefs Village in Naturena was a hive of activity on Monday as the first team returned to training for the first time this year under the watchful eye of Head Coach, Vladimir Vermezovic.

The players and Technical Staff have been off since 20th December 2011 after playing their last game against AmaZulu in Durban.

Among those who joined the training was Siphiwe Tshabalala who recently spent some time in the UK where he was on trials with Crystal Palace.

Lehlohonolo Majoro and George Lebese who helped Bafana Bafana to a decent 1 all draw against the Black Stars of Ghana in Rustenburg on Sunday were also back at the Village and were taken through their paces by Fitness Trainer, Joshua Smith.

Goalkeeper and Captain, Itumeleng Khune seemed to be enjoying full training for the first time since early October last year. He worked with goalkeeper coach Rainer Dinkelacker and the three other goalkeepers including Arthur Bartman who has been superb in his absence. Also back from full training was left back, Jimmy Jambo who suffered a knock in the last game against AmaZulu.

Chiefs play their first game in 2012 against Jomo Cosmos on February, 15th.
