Chiefs off season acquisition from Free State Stars Sthembiso Ngcobo has spoken to kaizerchiefs.com of his first few days with his new team mates, and of his aim to familiarize himself with the Chiefs set up as quickly as possible.

The Durban-born striker said, when asked about how he had been finding the pre-season camp at the high performance centre in Pretoria/Tshwane, he positively replied “good, actually very good everything has been fantastic.

The training has been quality the guys have been very friendly and importantly I have been managing the training well”.

Ngcobo did admit that it is still going to take him some time to fully acclimatize to life at Chiefs.

“I had anticipated it to be hard and thought I will give myself a few weeks to get to know everyone, the process has been easier than I had expected I do need more time to get to know everyone better”.

The former Free State Stars hit man has also told kaizerchiefs.com that he is working his way to being peak physical shape.

“Given that this is the early days of our pre-season programme the intensity of our training sessions has been high. We have been working out very hard and right now it is all about getting into shape and being ready for the physical challenges of what will be a very demanding and challenging season.”

As Ngcobo settles into life at Chiefs he is eager to play in the warm-up games and friendly matches in order to get used to playing in the Chiefs system, he does believe that he will not be fazed by any pressure from the fans or media.

“Chiefs are different in many ways to my last club the most obvious thing is that there is more scrutiny from the media and public. When I joined this club I knew exactly what I was signing up for.

When I got my training gear the other day and seeing the Chiefs logo on the jersey it was the realization of a life-long dream of mine.

I am going to do whatever it takes to ensure that I can help this club be successful” concluded Ngcobo.
