Mandela, who spent most of his life fighting for social justice saw one of his dreams come true this year when South Africa hosted the 2010 FIFA World Cup between 11 June and 11 July 2010. Now retired from politics, Mandela continues to champion the interests of the poor and of children through his Foundation.
Also sharing a birthday with Madiba are the Club’s Mpumalanga-born Mandla Masango, who turned 22 today, and Kimberly-born Abraham Jacobs, recently promoted to the development, who turned 18 on the same day.
Kaizer Chiefs wishes the two a fulfilling day on their birthday.
