Kaizer Chiefs midfielder, Mandla Masango is one of the few to share a birthday with icon, Dr. Nelson Rholihlahla Mandela as he was born on this day Kwaggafontein, Mpumalanga. He turned 20 on Saturday, 18 July 2009.

Teammate, Dominic Isaacs believes Mandla has his world on his feet, “Mandla is very talented and very dedicated to his game. I wish him all the best on his birthday,” said Domza.

“I have already told him that he needs to be arrogant on the field of play. He needs to take charge and demand the ball. I remember when I played with Steven Pienaar couple of years ago he used to make us play and would have a go at us. I wish him all the best once more,” added Isaacs.

Masango as one of the key players in the National U-20 team is expected to carry the hopes of the nation during the U-20 World Cup to be played in Egypt later this year.
