Today marks the birth of the legendary Herman ‘Pele’ Blaschke who turns 65.

Affectionately known as ‘Pele’ in football circles, Baschke, donned the gold and black during the infant stages of Kaizer Chiefs. Regarded in Namibia as the country's most successful football export, Blaschke was a feared winger with an educated right foot.

kaizerchiefs.com caught up with the legend to wish him a happy birthday; “I recall my days at Chiefs. They were the most memorable days of my life. Thank you for the message.”

Nicknamed ‘Chichi’ for coming from the bench to change games, Blaschke, played alongside Kaizer Chiefs’s Executive Chairman Kaizer ‘Chincha Guluva’ Motaung.
