As most South Africans will be celebrating Easter, Kaizer Chiefs would like to wish everybody a happy and safe weekend. Many will be travelling using various modes of transportation and spending long hours on the road.
Worshippers will be travelling to Church gatherings for prayer services and special events. It is against this background that we are calling on road users to observe the road regulations and spending most importantly – Arrive Alive, Don’t Speed and Don’t Drink and Drive.
We are concerned though about the annual statistics that reveal several fatalities that are a result of road accidents. The Minister of Transport, Blade Nzimande, revealed that 510 people were killed on South Africa’s roads during the 2018 Easter holiday. This is concerning.
Those who are celebrating, enjoy the chocolate Easter bunnies and hot cross buns. We wish everyone to have a relaxed weekend away from the everyday hustle and bustle of the week.
Let us all be safe and a have an enjoyable and safe Easter!
