“Kaizer Chiefs is a big Club and I was offered a good three year deal,” reflects midfielder George Lebese about extending his contract with Amakhosi. “I couldn’t turn it down.”
The 26-year-old had an excellent 2014/2015 season, helping Chiefs to a record-breaking Absa Premiership title and the MTN8 trophy.
He started last season in 19 league games, coming on twice as a substitution and scoring seven goals.
The tricky midfielder got recognition at the recently held Kaizer Chiefs Player Awards evening by winning the Player of the Month trophies for the months of November and April.
“I am happy to be involved with Chiefs for three more years,” Lebese concludes, before adding, “hopefully it will even be for longer.”
