"I am happy to see Kaizer Chiefs in my town,” comments supporter Ferry Khoza upon seeing the KC Roadshow in Nelspruit. “I have been a fan since 1996.”
Amakhosi is taking over Nelspruit with two Roadshows ahead of the Telkom Knockout quarterfinal against Mpumalanga Black Aces on Saturday evening.
The KC Roadshow was today, Friday, at the Promenade Mall in Nelspruit with MC Vuyo in excellent form, dancing around on great music tunes.
“I follow Chiefs because of the way they play,” states Khoza. “We must keep supporting the team. The results will come.”
Manyovu Mnisi is the deputy secretary of Chiefs’ Mbombela Supporters Branch: “We are happy to hear and witness our team in town. It is always a pleasure to have Chiefs in our backyard.”
“This is the home of Amakhosi,” Mnisi continues, while looking around and spotting KC Insurance and KC Mobile agents being busy signing up numerous visitors for their products.
Meanwhile, the KC Retail stand was crowded with supporters buying authentic merchandise. Buying, for example, Chiefs’ 2014/2015 Championship jersey qualifies one to get a couple of Soweto Derby and Telkom Knockout tickets.
“When Chiefs are here, Mbombela comes to a standstill,” stresses Mnisi. “We lost the MTN8 Cup. So it is now our turn to win a trophy.”
The KC Roadshow will proceed tomorrow, Saturday, to Nelspruit Plaza Taxi rank from 10:00 to 12:00. They will also be at the Mbombela Stadium from 15:00 (at Gate 5).
The much anticipated Telkom Knockout quarterfinal on Saturday kicks off at 18:00.
The tickets for the match are on sale at Computicket and Shoprite/Checkers outlets nationwide for R50 adults and R10 for children under the age of 12.
