Kaizer Chiefs are back in the much-loved province of KwaZulu-Natal to play their 24 DStv Premiership match of the season against Richards Bay FC at the King Goodwill Zwelithi stadium.

The match promises to be humdinger given the positions that the two teams find themselves in. Chiefs are in desperate need of three points while Richards Bay also want to move away from the drop zone.

Amakhosi dropped down to 10th on the log following yesterday’s DStv Premiership results in other matches. The team has collected 30 points after 23 matches. The home team, Richards Bay FC, are second from bottom with 17 points in the bag after 23 outings.

As they search for their first win in three matches, coach Cavin Johnson has once again implemented a number of changes to the team, dropping five players from the previous team. In defence, Njabulo Ngcobo will be replaced by S’fiso Hlanti. In midfield, Yusuf Maart makes way for Sibongiseni Mthethwa and Edson Castillo’s positon is taken by Siyethemba Sithebe. Mduduzi Shabalala takes Mduduzi Mdantsane’s spot. In attack Ashley Du Preez is in for Ranga Chivaviro

The Glamour Boys will play their 4-3-3 formation.

Bruce Bvuma is the goalkeeper.

Defence will have Hlanti on the left, Edmilson Dove and Given Msimango at the centre, and Dillan Solomons on the right hand side of Amakhosi’s back four.

Holding the midfield will be Mthethwa. He is supported Shabalala and Sithebe.

Pule Mmodi on the left wing and Christian Saile is running on the right flank.

The main striker is Ashley Du Preez.

Msimango will captain the team.

Today’s referee is Masixole Bambiso. He will be assisted by Sibusiso Sisilana and Luyanda Nondala. The fourth official will be Thokozani Mkhize.

This afternoon’s DStv Premiership encounter between Amakhosi and the Natal Rich Boyz kicks off at 15:00 at King Goodwill Zwelithini Stadium in Umlazi.
