Human rights day: Kaizer Chiefs

Article 5, of The Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) that was declared and adopted by the United Nations General Assembly on 10 December 1948 at Palais de Chaillot, Paris says; “No one shall be subjected to torture or to cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment.”

Kaizer Chiefs would like to join the world to celebrate this important day in the history of mankind, the Club would like to encourage South Africans to uphold all the articles as enshrined in the document to create a Country where all who live in it enjoy the letters that appear in the South African Constitution that was promulgated by President Nelson Mandela on 10 December 1996, in Section 10 reads like; “the right to human dignity”.

Kaizer Chiefs is about Love and Peace, hence we would like this day to remind us all that the aforementioned letters do not exist in isolation but are relevant and cut across all spectra including behaviours at the stadium. Booing players as an example, simply kills the human spirit and goes against the articles and letters as mentioned.

South Africa, our football loving nation

Let us continue to build our country,

Support our teams and spread the message of Love & Peace

Unite and stand together

Protect and Love one another
