Kaizer Chiefs will once again meet PWD Bamenda this evening for the return leg of their CAF Champions League preliminary round encounter at FNB Stadium.
The two teams clashed last week in Limbe, Cameroon where Kaizer Chiefs won the encounter by a goal to nil.
The Cameroonian outfit landed in Johannesburg this afternoon and travelled with a squad of 18 players.
Due to their late arrival in the country and while waiting for the Covid-19 tests, Kaizer Chiefs offered the Cameroonians an opportunity to warm up at the Kaizer Chiefs Village in Naturena as CAF rules do not allow anyone to enter the field of play without a negative result that is not older than 48 hours.
In his squad, Kaizer Chiefs coach Gavin Hunt has made four changes to the line-up when compared with last Sunday’s clash in Cameroon.
Ramahlwe Mphahlele who was substituted last weekend due to a hamstring injury will miss today’s match, while Siyabonga Ngezana, Njabulo Blom and Leonardo Castro will start on the bench.
Captain Itumeleng Khune who had a great game and stopped a late penalty will start in goals and wear the captain’s armband once again.
The back-four from left to right will have Philani Zulu, Daniel Cardoso, last weekend’s goal scorer Mulomowandau Mathoho and Kgotso Moleko.
Anthony Akumu Agay, Siphelele Ntshangase and Bernard Parker will be joined by returnees to the line-up Nkosingiphile Ngcobo and Lebogang Manyama in midfield.
Khama Billiat will be play upfront.
The officiating team from Angola is led by referee Joao Amado Muanda Goma. His two assistants are Evanildo G Dos Santos Martins and Rosario C. Calembela. The fourth official is Antonio Caluassi Dungula.
The match commissioner is Shilunga Eratsus from Namibia.
