Daniel Akpeyi, Siyabonga Ngezana, Philani Zulu, Kearyn Baccus and Njabulo Blom are the newcomers into the starting line-up for this evening’s DStv Premiership clash against Chippa United, which will take place at Port Elizabeth’s Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium.
The Chilli Boys drew 1-1 on the road against Cape Town City on Saturday, while Kaizer Chiefs hosted reigning league champions at FNB Stadium, with the visitors winning 3-0.
Tonight’s encounter is the 15th fixture between the two sides, with Amakhosi winning seven of the previous 14 matches, drawing two and losing five times.
Coach Gavin Hunt has decided to put Akpeyi between the posts ahead of Itumeleng Khune, who will be on the bench.
The four defenders are, from the right, Reeve Frosler, Siyabonga Ngezana, Daniel Cardoso and Philani Zulu.
Kearyn Baccus and the talented Njabulo Blom, who came in as a substitute against Sundowns, will man the middle of the park, while Nkosingiphile Ngcobo and Lebogang Manyama will link up with the players up-front.
The two strikers are Khama Billiat and Leonardo Castro.
The referee is Jelly Chavani, while his assistants are Happy Nhlanhla and Jimmy Kgaphola. Siyabulela Qunta will be the fourth official.
The match between Chiefs and Chippa will kick-off at 19:30.
No spectators will be allowed in the stadium. The game will be broadcast live on the DStv channel SuperSport 2, with commentary coming through the Twitter handle, @KaizerChiefs and various SABC radio stations.
