"I will give my all," assured Kaizer Chiefs' Itumeleng Khune ahead of the International Club Friendly featuring Chiefs against the German Bundesliga side TSG 1899 Hoffenheim. The match is scheduled to take place on Friday, 16 January 2015, kickoff is at 19:30.
"It will be our first match since we came back from the festive break. We are looking forward to the match," says Khune.
Hoffenheim are visiting South Africa as part of their midseason break while Chiefs are on a 2015 Afcon break.
"This is our first step to prepare for the resuming of the league programme in February," adds Khune. "We will give a good performance."
Khune returned from injury before the break and has made it to the first 18 squad in the two previous matches.
"I will give my all to the team as usual. It will be good to be in between the poles in a game of this magnitude," continued Khune.
Khune expressed appreciation for the Bundesliga.
"I watch their games. They are a typical German side, they play In quick transitions." Khune.
"It's good that they play positive football. But if they play high and commit lots of bodies going forward we will punish them," warns Khune.
"Personally just like my teammates I'm am ready and fit," concludes Khune. "I'm glad to be back and am very excited."
