The U23 striker made his first appearance this year when he came as a substitute replacing Siyabulela Songwiqi in the 79th minute. He made his last appearance against Vasco Da Gama late in November last year.
It was his superb header that set up Knowledge Musona’s stoppage time equalizer in the 92nd minute helping the Glamour Boys secure a point against Bloemfontein Celtic after going 2-0 down in the first half.
“I am happy that we managed to get a point in what was a very difficult game for us. I think the team played well and showed character. As for my performance, I think I am getting better with each game. I know I can still improve after Wednesday’s performance,” said the young Khune speaking to kaizerchiefs.com after the game.
“I am also grateful of the support that I am getting from the Technical Team and my teammates. I am going to continue working hard at training. I have learnt from the senior players in the team that there is no substitute for hard work,” added Khune.
