The Ugandan Ivan Bukenya told kaizerchiefs.com that he gained an invaluable experience in his first season playing Kaizer Chiefs. Bukenya arrived in October 2013 at the Amakhosi. Bukenya penned a two year deal.
How was the 2013/14 Psl season in general?
Bukenya, "It was a nice learning experience for me in my first season at Kaizer Chiefs. I hope to use the learning experience to benefit the Team going into the future,"
How did your Team do this season?
Bukenya, "It was a good Team performance even though we didn't scoop any silverware. We made an effort and challenged for honours judging by the league position and Cup competition finish,"
Looking at your individual performances - how do you feel about that?
Bukenya, "I worked hard to improve my game and gained experience as a player. I think the experience will be invaluable going forward,"
It's Brazil World Cup time, which country do you fancy to do well?
Bukenya, "Germany to me have an opportunity to clinch this one. They have a good squad and looking at their Bundesliga has become competitive. I think the German discipline and precision will help them conquer in Brazil,"
Plans for the offseason?
Bukenya, "I will be training harder preparing for the next season and spend sometime with my family,"
Bukenya appeared for the Amakhosi for a combined 10 league and Cup games. He scored 1 goal in the Nedbank Cup and bagged a Man of the Match in Chiefs' final match of the 2013/14 league.
