The Kaizer Chiefs legends beat an Nkandla XI 3-1 a week ago. Fani Madida played for the Amakhosi side. However, in Tuesday’s Youth Day match against a KZN XI, the striker will try to score against Chiefs.

“I need to be a chameleon,” Madida comments with a twinkle in his eye. “I need to change from last week’s Gold and Black to a new colour.”

The Amakhosi legends will face the KZN XI in Newcastle, KwaZulu-Natal province, tomorrow, 16 June, at 12:00 (at the Amajuba College Stadium).

The game is part of the Siyabonga Nkosi Youth Festival, which started on June 6.

A team full of legends will participate in the game, including Brian Baloyi, Derrick Spencer, Fabian McCarthy, Cyril Nzama, Gardner Seale, Ntsie Maphike, Thabo Mooki, Doctor Khumalo, Arthur Zwane, Frank Makua, Abel Shongwe and Wellington Manyathi and Stanton Fredericks.

The KZN XI will be led by Madida. However, other players include Helman Mkhalele and Phumlani Mkhize.

The legends will give on Tuesday morning a soccer clinic, which starts at 09:00.

“I am looking forward to the game,” enthuses Chiefs’ McCarthy. “I am also looking forward to do battle with Fani, which will be interesting.” Then, he pauses for a moment, before adding with a smile: “I am gonna kick him!”

After this comment, the former defender adds: “We will be rivals on Tuesday. On the other hand, these games are also about fun and about representing the Kaizer Chiefs Brand in the spirit of Love & Peace!”
