Arthur Bartman has said that his dream is to win a league title after coming second during his first spell with the Club back in 1998/9 season.

The veteran goalkeeper was speaking to kaizerchiefs.com on Wednesday after making his official debut for the Club last Sunday.

“The team did well that season but came second best to Mamelodi Sundowns, now I want to win the league with the Club,” he said warning that they will need to take it ‘one game at a time’.

“It has been almost 10 years since I was here - a lot has changed but there is still the same will to win and also the level of professionalism is still the same. Our assistant coach, “Ace” Khuse was still registered as a player when I was here and now he is a coach and I am glad to be working with him. Goalkeeper Coach Rainer Dinkelacker played a pivotal role in developing the games of Brain Baloyi, Rowen Fernandez, Emille Baron and now Itumeleng Khune. I have only been working with him for a few days but you can see he is a class coach,” said Bartman.

Bartman’s first goal though is to play, “I want to play first if given a chance all other things will follow. I am hoping to add to the success of the team with the experience I have acquired over the years. I am excited to be here and it was nice to play my first game last Sunday. It was nerve wrecking but after making a first save I settled down and of course all of us were happy to register our first win of the season,” he concluded.
