The Soweto-born player who joined the Glamour Boys at the beginning of 2007/8 season is aware that the competition for places in the team is tough with Club’s striking force strengthened further with the arrival of Nkosinathi Nhleko, Knowledge Musona.
“I told myself when I joined the team for preseason that I need to work harder to make more appearances for the team this season. I think we did well as the team during preseason games where we won two tournaments but I was not satisfied with the way I played. I believe I can offer more to the team. I am going to continue working hard at training to make my dream of representing this club a reality,” he said.
Bulu said he understands what the coach expects not only from him but all the players, “He wants us to work very hard. We understand him now as the team in terms of his expectations and his philosophy. He used me more on the right wing during the preseason.
I will play where ever he wants me to play including up front where I have played most of my football,” continued Bulu, nicknamed “Zorro” by his teammates last season after suffering a nose injury.
He added that as a ‘Soweto born’ he is looking forward playing in the refurbished Orlando Stadium, “We are very excited as players hearing that Orlando is our home for the next three years. I have yet to play since the stadium was renovated and hopefully when we play Maritzburg United next week I will be part of the team,” he added.
Meanwhile, the Club has reiterated the statement issued early last month that all Club’s home games will be played at Orlando for the next three years.
The next fixture at Orlando will see the Glamour Boys welcoming Maritzburg United on the 12 September 2009.
Kick off for the game is at 15h30.
