Kaizer Chiefs had a good pre-season (winning the Carling Black Label Cup), but found the going a bit more difficult when the season started.
The squad, however, is looking positively ahead towards Wednesday’s game against Platinum Stars. “We just need to score goals, as much as we create,” says William Twala.
Amakhosi lost the first Absa Premiership fixture to Bidvest Wits, while they were beaten in the MTN8 quarterfinal by Cape Town City.
Twala points out that “a team always gets a rough patch during the season, this was our rough patch”. He furthermore emphasises that it’s important to stay “positive. Of course, we are under pressure when it comes to results. But we have been playing well and creating a lot of chances. We will improve.”
“If we play against Platinum Stars as a collective, we will win,” the 26-year-old winger concludes.
