Kaizer Chiefs Reserves kept pace at the top of the 2024/25 DStv Diski Challenge (DDC) table when they ended Cape Town City’s long unbeaten home run with an impressive 3-0 win at Malta Park on Sunday.
The ever-prolific Neo Bohloko opened the scoring in the 21st minute, with Pheko Phago doubling Amakhosi’s lead in the 32nd minute, before Bohloko completed his brace, and the scoring five minutes before half-time.
After 10 rounds, Chiefs are level at the top with Stellenbosch on 23 points, only trailing by a goal difference of two, yet have a game in hand on their Cape rivals.
Next Sunday, 17 November, Amakhosi host seventh-placed Orlando Pirates in a lip-smacking DStv Diski Soweto Derby.
Meanwhile, in the SAFA Gauteng Development League (GDL), Kaizer Chiefs U13s emerged victorious over TS Galaxy by 2-0. Similarly, the U15s prevailed 3-1 The U17s, however, went down 2-1 to their counterparts, while the evidently gripping U19 clash was called off due to rain and lightning when the score goal fest was balanced at 3-3.
